I have always been a big fan of gothic, noir and horror imaginary (movies, illustrations, novels etc.) since I was a little kid.
I don't pretend to be defined as an illustrator, I don't even know how to draw properly, but well, I don't really care...this is something that makes me feel good, relaxing and having a lot of fun in my short free time.
Therefore I've decided to share this passion with you, giving life to a project called "The Black Lounge".
This is a dark, sinister, grotesque and oniric place, where I'll' gather together all my personal digital illustrations and skatches.
I know this not for everyone but I really hope you can enjoy it someway!
This is a personal tribute to the noir novels. I've decided to create this digital illustration after having spent weeks reading Donald E. Westlake (aka Richard Sparks) stories. If you like noir and thriller books and movies don't miss him.
A digital illustration partially inspired to the David Lynch's "Mulholland Drive" movie.
This is more or less how the bench of the black lounge might be during a cozy, busy night.
Just did it in a moment of anger ;)
Who's saying I don't know how to be romantic?! This reminded my of a beautiful proverb that says:
«You can't control the wind but you can set your sails». That's how this illustration was born.
Well...everybody has their own spooky place.
There is nothing more true than this...
"...Between the river and the ravens I'm fed, between oblivion and the blazes I'm led
So father give me faith, providence and grace." [Consider the Ravens - Dustin Kensrue]
